The Flaccid Penis and the Cigarette

Smoking is on the rise among teens in Korea. This is sad for a number of reasons, but the Chosun Ilbo says something that caught my eye:

Teen smoking is all the more serious because it is not only physically damaging it can also lead to other problems like drinking, sex and violence.

This caught my eye because of a little bit of irony. Smoking leads to drinking. Ok, I suppose that may be true. I've certainly known a lot of people who only smoke when they drink, I suppose the converse is true as well.

Smoking leads to sex? Maybe. People (smokers) tend to want a smoke after sex, or so the movies say. Do teens who start smoking have more sex? Does a girl look at a classmate who smokes and say, "Wow, you smoke. You must be really cool. Come here, I want to f**k you." Or does a guy look at a girl and think that since she smokes, she must be easy. I'll try harder with her.

If people really want to stop teens from smoking, tell them that if they smoke, they are twice as likely to suffer from impotence (source). With the high number of smoking men in Korea, I wonder...
