Sense of Touch Handprint Craft

Thanks so much to Maro Oikonomou from Greece for sending this in. It's a concept for a "Sense of Touch" lesson. These could be mounted on the wall or placed on a sensory table for children to explore. Looks like these where made by the teacher, but you could also have the kids make them and take them home later.

  • construction paper
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • glue
  • various objects for the sense of touch; yarn, acorns, small blocks, buttons, cotton, etc.

  1. Trace and cut out many hand prints from various colored construction paper.
  2. Glue on various small objects for different senses of touch.
  3. Display around the room, or on a sensory table.
  4. Students touch and describe the feeling.

Thanks again so much to Maro for this great international idea.

You can see your craft here, just like Mar's.
